My iPod smashed yesterday. I was walking out from the doctors to the chemists and wanted to see what time it was, so I tried to take my iPod out of my pocket. It fell onto the pavement and the screen broke.

I told my mum I'd pay to get it repaired, since the cheapest we found a repair place was £50 and she payed for it last time. I was pretty annoyed since I've been saving up to buy Harry Potter robes, but luckily my auntie recently got a job at an electrical repairs place, so she said she'd do it for me if I just bought the tools.

£50 to get it repaired in Edinburgh vs. £10 to get it repaired by my auntie. I think I know which one I'll go for.

1. I freaking love Harry Potter and HP related things, such as Starkid.

2. I'm socially awkward. I find it hard to talk to people unless it's on the internet or at a gig. Because of this, I don't have many friends.

3. Until about two years ago, I hated art. I mean seriously hated it. Now, it's one of my favourite things to do!

4. I have two half-brothers. I take the mick out of them, call them names and whatnot, but if anyone hurts them, I'll step in and end that mofo.

5. I love animals, but I couldn't work with them.

6. I don't care much about my appearance. I rarely wear makeup, rarely do anything with my hair, would usually take a baggy tshirt and comfy trousers over anything else and can't walk in heels to save myself.

7. I think homophobia, racism, sexism and all other prejudices based on something a person can't choose, are the most stupid things in the entire world.

8. Comedy, music and art are life.

9. Give me comfy socks, I give you hugs.

10. You wouldn't know it to look at me, but I love excercising. It's just that I prefer eating and I'm pretty lazy!

Oh, and Double Stuff Oreos came out in the UK! We've also got some Hersheys things, although I don't know where they're available. Hershey's Kisses seem to be only in Tesco, and Peanut Butter Cups tend to be in either petrol stations or Morrisons. American chocolate tastes funny, and Kraft took over Cadburys and made it terrible. Despite this, I lovelovelovelovelove peanut butter cups/reeces peices and oreos are one of the best foods in the world, IMO.

Just bought it earlier today! It's a Trust TB-6300 and it's very pretty. It was the best deal out of the ones there, too. £55!

I nearly snapped it in half out of frustration earlier, I couldn't get it to work at all. Figured it out now though, and holy crap is it beautiful. It's got a mouse with it too, so I don't need to use my trackpad all the time!

I'm currently doing a powercut meme, since the power just went out for about half an hour. Best part? As soon as I got to the last panel, 'your power just got back', my power came back!

So yeah, tablet. Pretty tablet.

So lately, I've become a bit of a Harry Potter freak. Some of my friends are also Potterheads. We like dressing up and being awesome. We like Halloween. We like parties.

We combined them all.

I'm helping to organize a Harry Potter Halloween party!

We're having it in a castle!!

I've been put at the head of decorations. I don't mean to brag, but out of those organizing this thing I'm the best at art. Hate bragging. Ew.

Anyway, we need ideas for games and stuff. I've already thought of Pin the Snitch on the Seeker. Whoever pins the snitch closest to the seekers hand gets 150 points. Pretty pleased with that! Also thought up a Horcrux Scavenger Hunt, something to do with Quidditch and a trivia quiz.

Of course, I'll be dressing up. Going to order robes and a wand from online. Hopefully a tie, too. Or should I cosplay? If I cosplay, it'll most likely be as Hermione since I've got the hair for it. If I don't cosplay, I'll just be going as myself. Ravenclaw

OH OH OH AND I'm planning on making invites in the form of the Hogwarts acceptance letters. And gift bags at the end with little trinkets and whatnot.

i've been told to do some nailart too, so I've currently got the house colours on my nails. Sure I found a design very similar to it somewhere on dA, so if I upload it I'll need to go find the original and give them credit.

So yeah, I guess this is a warning of sorts since come October time, I'll be going CRAZY with HP things, and after the party expect a FLOOD of pictures!

I seriously hope this is just a horrible rumour because she's an incredible woman. When I heard the news, I was pretty upset. It's still not sunk in. She's dead. Actually dead.

It doesn't seem right. She just can't be dead. She can't be.

For anyone who doesn't know who she is, Elizabeth Sladen was a Doctor Who companion to John Pertwee and Tom Baker. She had a spin-off series called 'The Sarah-Jane Adventures' and remains one of the most well known companions to date.

For her roles, she's been a part of many people's lives. SJA is one of my favourite shows and this news has come as a shock to many people.

She is reported to have died earlier on today (19th April) from cancer. She passed at 63.

Deepest sympathies to her friends and family.
